Cad64 Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Is Layer 0 Frozen? If so, Thaw it and then you will be able to select the text. Quote

Tiger Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Try to select the text via the QSELECT feature (object: Text, Properties: Layer, Value: Defpoints) and see if that works, Quote

Cad64 Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Well, I'm glad to hear you got the text deleted, but I would still like to know why you could not select it? Oh well, problem solved. On to the next. Quote
Tiger Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Well, I'm glad to hear you got the text deleted, but I would still like to know why you could not select it? Oh well, problem solved. On to the next. I have run into this on a number of occasions, usually Viewports that can't be selected manually but QSelect works. I have never been able to figure out why. When I run into this problem again, I'll email you the file Tinker - could just be that your file is too big. Quote
ganno Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Thank you so much you don't understand how long i have been looking for this solution. You are a LEGEND!!!! Quote
Shaly Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 Hi, I also wanted to ask about this topic since it is related to my current issue. Why can't I click and edit the text? I tried everything that I could such as using the DBLCKEDIT & PICKFIRST commands. I just can use the QSELECT to delete the text, but not to click or edit it. Can you help me ? Quote
Shaly Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 Hope that you can help me. Thank you so much! FELDA KT NEW DC SLD 1 33KW.dwg Quote
SLW210 Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 Which text are you unable to edit? A lot of the "text" in that drawing is geometry, you need to run PDFSHXTEXT to hopefully make it text. The actual mtext edits just fine for me. Quote
Shaly Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 All of the text in this box and also in the title block. Quote
SLW210 Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 You need to go through all sysvars related to text/mtext and double check what editor you have set as well. Start with MTEXTTOOLBAR setting, I believe it defaults to using the ribbon to edit text. https://cadprotips.com/2017/10/08/multiline-text-and-system-variables-in-autocad/ Could be some issue with your AutoCAD install and/or profile or even a bug with AutoCAD 2025, but run through all the related sysvars first. Shaly Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 I will try to do so. Will update you the outcome later. Thank you!! Quote
