Hi

I am a retiered tool and die maker.

I am 63 years old and I use Auto Cad 2000.

I like finding detailed blue prints and mechanical drawings in pdf files, and re draw them in Auto Cad to make the 3D.

I have taken a lot of things apart to draw , like ice maker, small motors, and other things that break around the house.

I keep searching the web, but am running out of things to find.

I was wondering if any one had places that I could go to down load pdf files so I can keep in practice?

Thank you for your time.

Welcome to the CADTutor forum Sam.

I admire the time and effort you have put into your self-imposed task.

Might I suggest that you visit your local library and see if they have any technical drafting books by French or Spencer? You'll find enough things to draw to last a life time. I've posted the full titles of both their books in the past on several occasions. I'll see if I can find a link to one of those posts and include it here.

Here is the link. Scroll down to post #4. I actually listed three books.

Here's an idea if you haven't tried it Sam,

I'm sure you have googled but try this: simply put in autocad drawing (or solidworks drawing). After the search look up at the top and click on "Images". That will give you some results you can cull from. If you want something more specific of course add that to you query.
