SadisticIron Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 I have drawn this part and I am lost on how to change the color of the part. Can anyone help me do this. I have posted a picture of my part. Also if anyone might know how to female thread the ends rather than male threads as they are. Thank you Doc1.doc Quote
kencaz Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 Change Part color: Right click >> Properties You can't put internal threads on an extruded solid. You need to drill a hole first. KC Quote
JD Mather Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 You can change color by part, by feature or by face. Right click everything in Inventor. Quote
SadisticIron Posted August 3, 2010 Author Posted August 3, 2010 to drill for threads how is this process done. I appreciate the right click to change color I got that. Sorry if I am asking the easiest questions but that was my first part I have drawn in 3d. Quote
JD Mather Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 I could not open your *.doc (why doc for pictures? and why pictures for CAD, we spend all of this time learning to communicate with Geometry, let's communicate with Geometry - zip and attach your ipt file here. You can zip a file by right clicking on the file name in Windows Explorer and selecting Send to Compressed (zipped) Folder.) Having not seen the doc I'm guessing that you want to select the threaded option in the Hole dialog box. Quote
SadisticIron Posted August 3, 2010 Author Posted August 3, 2010 Mazda cross shaft.zip I guess I should post it the way it should be in order to get the best help I can. Here is the file zipped. Quote
