skippy7024 Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 I am trying to down scale a drawing. I have a rectangle that is 400mm x 27mm. I cannot figure out how to scale this down, but be able to show the correct size 8mm holes that need to be added to it. Quote
mdbdesign Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 Draw everything in 1:1 scale to avoid problem. Is it draw in full scale? Quote
ReMark Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 Welcome to the CADTutor forum skippy7024. The one rule of thumb you should remember when drawing in AutoCAD is to do so, in model space, at FULL size. Then switch to a layout (gives us access to paper space), create a viewport, assign a scale to the viewport, lock the display and print/plot at a scale of 1:1. Now to your question. Have you tried the SCALE command? Quote
skippy7024 Posted August 3, 2010 Author Posted August 3, 2010 Thanks for your help. I think I understand now. I had done other drawings at 1:1, but my dimensions had never been that high. Quote
