martyn60 Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Hi there I am fairly new to Inventor 2010 but have completed an Essentials training course. The problem i have is that any text added to the drawing is not visible. This includes dimension text. I thought that it may be due to a layer not being visible but that doesn't seem to be the case. I am using a *.idw drawing file. Martyn:( Quote
JD Mather Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Have you installed all Service Packs (I think there are 3 for 2010). Updated graphics driver? If yes, then try going to Tool>Application Options>Hardware tab and set to lowest setting. All of the above and still trouble? Zip and attach files exhibiting this behavior. Quote
martyn60 Posted August 4, 2010 Author Posted August 4, 2010 First of all my apologies I am using Inventor 2011 not 2010. However I have checked for updates and there was only one which was an update to the materials library. I have run the diagnostic from the hardware tab and it reports ok. My driver for my graphics card is the latest available from Nvidia. I did then change the setting from Performance to Compatabilty and then tried adding dimensions and the text appears ok. However changing the setting back again still shows the text correctly. The only other thing I have done is to close the program and then re-open before applying changes. To summarise I am mystified why it's ok now but pleased nonetheless. Quote
