tildaman Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 I occasionally find lines on my files are not true 90 or 0 deg. Say a line is 5ft long in X but 1/128" off in Y which almost unnoticable on screen but it bothers me. my inaccurate drawing habit or some imported files etc. Is there any command to fix these? Quote
lpseifert Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 You can try the Change command with ortho on and using point filters. It may change the length of the line though. Best if you were to draw the lines with ortho on... Quote
nukecad Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 These slightly out of square lines annoy me too. I have this on a toolbar button to square them up. ^C^C_change;'ortho on;_endp \;@;'ortho off; And YES it does shorten the line slightly because you are changing it from the hypotenuse of a triangle to a side of the same triangle, but it was probably meant to be the length of the side in the first place. ReMark Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Simple. In the future draw those types of lines with Orthomode enabled. Why would anyone do otherwise? Quote
hoss Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Draw a straight line with ortho on and use align to make imported lines or others straight and then delete the line Quote

Usually happens on drawings that have come from outside the company. (Unskilled or Lazy drafters)? Draw a straight line with ortho on and use align to make imported lines or others straight and then delete the line[/Quote] Not all versions , especially LT, have the align command. Quote
