smarcus3 Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 it seems for some reason now my tool palette that inserts blocks is taking forever to work. Does anyone else have this / work around? thanks Quote
ReMark Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 When did the problem first occur? How many custom tool palettes did you create? What are your system specs? What OS are you running? Quote
smarcus3 Posted August 16, 2010 Author Posted August 16, 2010 Just started today. There are around 10 palettes. Quad core 2.4Ghz, 4Gb RAM, Windows 7 64 bit AutoCAD 2011 LT 64 bit Quote
ReMark Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Your system is powerful enough to run full AutoCAD yet it somehow chokes on tool palettes in LT? Something is definitely wrong. Could it be a "pathing" problem? Where are these blocks stored? Are they on a network? Quote
smarcus3 Posted August 16, 2010 Author Posted August 16, 2010 blocks are local. do you think it may be a 64 bit cad issue? Quote
ReMark Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 A 64-bit issue? In what way? I'm running full AutoCAD 2010 64-bit on a Win7 Ultimate 64-bit system with no problems what-so-ever and I do 3D as well. What else do you have running on this system while you are running AutoCAD? I have a quad core system as well and I can run a half-dozen programs at a time with no slow down. Quote
smarcus3 Posted August 16, 2010 Author Posted August 16, 2010 I don't know, but this problem is just annoying. Quote
ReMark Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Do you experience the problem when working with a brand new, relatively simple, drawing? Are you using Xrefs? Quote
smarcus3 Posted September 6, 2010 Author Posted September 6, 2010 Still very slow and quite annoying. Have even tried reinstalling. Any other suggestions. Quote
