Ahankhah Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 I recently downloaded AutoCAD help in chm format from this address: http://images.autodesk.com/adsk/files/autocad2011chmhelp.zip. Althogh I decompressed the above downloaded zip file and changed AutoCAD's config to use acad181.chm as help reference, I was unsuccessful:(. Any idea to resolve the problem:?: Pictures: 1- changes in option dialog box 2- The result of issuing "HELP" command after that. Quote
Cad64 Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 It sounds like you didn't read the instructions carefully. Instructions: 1. Download the AutoCAD2011CHMHelp.zip to your local drive (such as My Documents\AutoCAD2011Help). 2. Extract the zip file to this same folder. 3. To access the CHM Help, you’ll need to click on acad181.chm or create a desktop shortcut. Quote
BIGAL Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 It should work but I am a bit worried about the directory naming using (help) may be causing problems I would make it help-acad there are a number of characters that you should never use in a file name, in particular any in the top row of your keyboard Quote
