Need help with dimension

Can someone please explain to me how to set my dimensions up so they work like this pic?

Oh sorry. Hehe. How about this?

create a new dimstyle command DIMSTYLE

select add new

set it up as you want - use the tabs along the top and select arrows, text centred on line etc.

 

is this not enough info?

No not really. I want single lines and i want to be able to go from.. Well I dont know how to explain it. On the picture it goes from 0 ,52,56 and so on . I guess I just cant explain myself. Oh well thanks anyways

hey don't worry, it's alway hard to explain these things. how about if you select the dim, right click and select dimtext position - move text only. does that get the effect you are after?

 

edit - sorry, i meant dim text position - move with leader

Thanks db! Ordinate dimensioning seems to be exactly what im looking for. Now that I know what its called should be a little easier to figure out!
