Wakatsik Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 help, this is my first time to ask this newbie question, i want to transfer my drawings in model tab to layout tab, but i don't know how to put a title block in the layout tab, i have seen before that you can adjust the scale in the layout tab w/o changing the title block, could somebody do a step by step process for these, thank you very much. if you could put some pictures it would be very appreciated. nukecad Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 (edited) CHSPACE (Change space command) will move objects from modelspace to paperspace. But I think that what you are looking to do is put a drawing border in layout (paperspace) with a viewport to show the geometry, that you have drawn full size in modelspace, at the scale you need. I have some metric templates done in this way on another forum that you can look at, http://www.autocadeverything.com/help/showthread.php?4380-METRIC-DRAWING-TEMPLATES. To change the scale in a viewport- Double click inside the viewport boundry to make it active. Type in Z0.1XP (Just an example Z = zoom, 0.1 = 1/10, XP = relative to paperspace, you can change the '0.1' to whatever scale you want to use). PAN the modelspace until it shows what you want in the viewport. Double click outside the viewport boundry to make it inactive. Edited August 24, 2010 by nukecad Quote
ReMark Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 The scale of a viewport, in AutoCAD 2007, can also be changed via the Viewports toolbar. The toolbar has a drop-down list of available scales. I would also recommend that after the viewport scale is set to lock the display. Doing this will ensure that should you pan or zoom within the viewport its scale will not change. Quote
