yyone Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 Is I need upgrade it? Hi guys, our office used 2 computer installed Autocad 2004 and Discreet 3dsmax 5, Windows XP SP2 and 1GB RAM. Autocad 2005 and Discreet 3dsmax 5, Windows XP SP3 and 2GB RAM. (1) if upgrade that both software, but only 1GB ram size, which version is fine? (2) now that autocad 2010,2011 was include 3ds5 ? (3) in future, office need upgrade Windows 7, but I not-sure both is full support W7? any advice! please! Quote

ReMark Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 Buy two new computers with Windows 7, either the Pro or Ultimate versions on them, and make sure both are 64-bit. It's Windows XP and any version that came before it that is NO longer fully supported by Microsoft. Move up to the latest version of AutoCAD (currently 2011) and make you also get the 64-bit version. Start with 4GB of the fastest RAM you can afford on both computers. Throw the old computers away or donate them to a good cause. Quote
