gsksun4 Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Playing around with the table command and can't seem to be able to center the text in a cell. It's a basic table and the "Title" centers, but when I return down to a different cell the text hugs the top right of the cell. I've tried several different settings, even setting the alignment under properties to "middle center", but no luck. Any thoughts? Glenn 2009LT Quote

gsksun4 Posted August 31, 2010 Author Posted August 31, 2010 select the row of data and the table toolbar should appearand pick header in Cell Style Thanks for the quick response. That worked out fine. I just thought that would be something you could set in the "Modify Table Style". Quote
CyberAngel Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 That worked out fine. I just thought that would be something you could set in the "Modify Table Style". Oh, it is. The trouble is that you can't depend on AutoCAD to apply your table style to each and every cell. Quote

BlackBox Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 (edited) Just in case something was accidentally overlooked, in 2006... :: Create a table :: When you type the table command, the Insert Table dialog window opens. In the upper-left, to the right of the Table Style Name there's a button with three dots (...) which will open the Table Style dialog window. In the Table Style window, select your desired style, and on the right side select the Modify button. In the Modify Table Style window, select the tab (Data, Column Heads, or Title) of the text you want to adjust, then set the alignment to the justification you desire. :: Modify an existing table :: Select a cell range that need to be modified (For example: Click the upper-left cell, then Shift + Click the bottom-right cell), then in the properties panel, change the alignment of the cell's text. Or, with a cell range selected you could right click > Cell Alignment > [edit] If you wanted to go the Visual LISP route... you could also use the SetAlignment or SetAlignment2 methods. [/edit] Hope this helps! Edited September 2, 2010 by BlackBox Visual LISP note Quote

But still I follow your instructions and it doesn't set the alignment I choose. Not a problem, as I can change it selecting the column and selecting "Header" in the table tool as stated above. Could be something in Acad LT that's causing this. Thanks again. Quote

This seems to be a problem in every version. I can add or change text in a cell, but sometimes the alignment is off. The toolbar says it's the proper style, and it is--except for the alignment. When I pull down the style and redefine the cell as that style, the alignment changes to what it should be. It's a bug, and it seems to be in the shared basic code that everyone has. Quote
