monk Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Hello Im newish to using Sheet sets. But from what i found they are very useful for project managing! Im trying to use the "insert shet list table" feature which i want to add revision number to. However i have added the revision number to the sheet but it wont appear in the table! Any ideas? Quote
edwinprakoso Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 True, We have the same problem here. Not sure how to fix it, but it looks like the problem has been there for years. We use other field to replace the revision number to make it work. Quote
Pablo Ferral Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 (edited) The standard revision number field is linked to the document properties - not to the layout. The document revsion number is read only and can only be changed by hooking into the Windows API (use the 'dwgprops' command to see what document properties you can and can't edit). The oversight on Autodesk's part is that it is confusing for this value to be visible, when you can't change it via the sheet set manager. If you have multiple layouts in a file, this value wouldn't be correct anyway, so you are probably as well to follow Edwin's method and create a new custom value that can be unique to each sheet. monk Posted September 6, 2010 Author Posted September 6, 2010 So how do you get the revision number to show on the dwgprops? The tooltip say add a custom property. But this wont show on the dwgprops summary page which im guessing is what the table looks for? Quote
Pablo Ferral Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 The Revision number is statistics tab. This information is read only. Edwin's suggestion is to add a custom field to the sheet set manager instead. Quote
