autoCAD 2010 installing problems

I received a copy of the 2010 version. For some reason, my desktop Windows Vista can't read the Dvd R disc. It is telling me that the disc is blank. I can, however, install it on my laptop Windows XP. I would like to know how I can fix this issue. I need it installed on my desktop. Any help would be much appreciated.

I've written out instructions for installing AutoCAD "flat" (i.e. - from one's hard drive) and posted them here at CADTutor. I'll dig up a link for you.

Sounds like this is a bootleg copy of Autocad. On a DVD R?
