Save dimension style.

Hi all. I am having trouble with getting a dimension style i saved on one drawing to appear in the list on any subsequent drawings i open. I really don't want to have to set up the style for every new drawing. Can anyone tell me where i am going wrong?

Save it in your template. It won't affect drawings already created, but any new drawings will have it.

 

Easiest way I have found to copy settings like that between already existing drawings is to use DesignCenter and drag-n-drop

It is also possible to use the Express Tools functions _.dimex and _.dimim to export and import dimension styles between drawings.

or cut and paste one of the dimensions into the other drawing.
