How do you import pdf and bitmap drawings?

I am attempting to import a pdf floor plan into AutoCad 2010 from an associate. I saw some reference as to how to export AutoCad dwgs into other formats, but I am confused as to how to reverse that and import drawings.

Just wanted to comment that I was finally able to use your attached image to get a pdf and a bitmap file downloaded into AutoCad. Thanks for the help.
