odachek Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 Anyone pls help..... How to remove the unwanted vertical lines during plotting? These lines were not in the plot preview...don't have this problem when using AutoCAD 2007, happened only when I upgraded to AutoCAD 2010 Pls see attached PDF ---->3d-A4.pdf Quote
ReMark Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 Interesting. The lines are there physically in the drawing? Quote
hoss Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 Any chance of uploading the DWG file then we might be able to help more Quote
bjenk8100 Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 try a different pdf conversion i had crazy problems with random lines in my drawings from my plotter and it was a driver issue but instead of exporting pdf from autocad try using cutepdf, bluebeam, etc uninstall > reinstall maybe? just a thought Quote
ReMark Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 Uninstall / reinstall what? The driver? I hope that's what you were referring to and not AutoCAD itself. Quote
JPlanera Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 I have noticed this issue with certain ctb files. I had a weird line in my plot when using acad.ctb, but the line went away when i used the monochrome.ctb... dont understand it, but it worked... Quote
odachek Posted October 1, 2010 Author Posted October 1, 2010 This problem only happens when doing 3D (setting to 3d hidden visual style and above) 2Ddrawings or 3D wireframe ok....the PDF file I've attached is by the autocad's "DWG To PDF" plotter, but if I use CutePDF to convert, it becomes horizontal lines instead of vertical lines.....plot thru all printers also have lines...set to monochrome.ctb or acad.ctb or any other pens, still have these lines...i dun think it's the driver or autocad dwg file issue becos it worked in autocad 2007, it only happens when i upgrade to autocad 2010, perhaps i really should try reinstall autocad 2010...oh shucks... ReMark Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Lines in a print of a PDF and you think "Oh, I should reinstall AutoCAD!" You're kidding, right? Have you installed Update 1 for AutoCAD 2010? Quote
marmo Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Hi, It's very strange! You can cancel these lines with Photoshop..., i'm kidding... Try change resolution of pdf... Try plot with JPG pc3... Quote
odachek Posted October 2, 2010 Author Posted October 2, 2010 ReMark, nobody wants to re-install AutoCAD including myself but that will be my last resort...btw, I have the AutoCAD update 2 installed... marmo, yup, i've tried adjusting the graphics settings of the CutePDF output, it worked if i lower down the Raster & Shaded/Rendered Viewports setting from 6 to 2, however it didn't worked for other 3D drawings esp big ones....and sometimes my conceptual visual style will print as wireframe if i lower too much. i also tried output to JPG, worked only (both big and small 3D drawings) if i set the graphics to XGA (1024x768) and below... odachek Posted October 2, 2010 Author Posted October 2, 2010 PROBLEM SOLVED! By updating my graphic card driver! Nvidia Quadro FX 540 AutoCAD Performance Driver (For AutoCAD 2009-2011) NVIDIA-Performance-Drivers-x86-2.2.6.2.exe Thanks all for the precious advice and suggestions...Yeah! Quote
ReMark Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 I always recommend that before anyone resorts to an uninstall/reinstall they try a repair first. Glad to hear that you had to do neither and that the problem was solved by updating the driver. Thank you for updating us too. Quote
marmo Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 Nvidia Quadro! Optimal solution for AutoCAD! Especially with the development of CUDA technology! Marco Quote
