I am creating a UK version of our company's title block by editing the one used in Germany.

The Title block is in PS and I have opened the block editor and made various changes to the attributes within such as "Drwg. No.", "Date" etc. Basiaclly this involved changing the tag, prompt default into English, as well as moving a few of them around a little.

The problem I have is that despite saving these changes, once i click on the block back in PS the tags are still in german and many of my edits and additions are nopt present.

Any ideas.... ?

Would it help if I attached the dwt file to this thread ?

(I should add that when I re-open the block editor, everything appears present and correct!!)

try ATTSYNC or BATTMAN. Blocks with attributes need a nudge to update existing blocks.

Yourquestion is a bit vague. from what u want to happen u just want to exchange the attributes positions in the block? or in the dialog box?

use BATTMAN to arrange the order of the attributes in the dialog box. as for the exchanging the positions of the attributes just BEDIT the block

I'll post in this thread instead of making my own one, as I've got a similar problem.

I'm trying to add attributes to a title block, and none of the new attributes show up in the attribute editor after I save the block. I've given all of the attributes different prompts.

For some reason my CAD (LT2009) doesn't recognise the ATTSYNC or BATTMAN commands, is there an alternative command? I've tried using them in the model layout as well as the block editor.

thanks

I would first try to put that title block in a seperate drawing so it can be its own block, then insert it again and see if it will look right.

Still doesn't show up, thanks for the suggestion. I can attach the drawing if that would help diagnose the problem.

Uh, I can't upload it to the forum, and I can't post a yousendit link because I'm a newbie. I'll try and PM you the link.

Edit: I guess I can't.

Here it is, broken up, take out the spaces:

Do you have this?

Click Modify menu = Object = Attribute = Block Attribute Manager

I have the options: Single, Global in the attribute menu. I can't figure out what they do.

The single just brings up the Enhanced Attribute Editor dialog box. It is the same as typing eattedit on the command line

The Global is the same as typing -attedit in the command line. Which is line the single just there are no dialog boxes everything will appear in the command line.

Well I don't have a cluse how you would go about updating the block then without battman or attsync which I looked up that Autocad LT 2009 does not have because its the lite.

Sorry,

Here is a thread with the same problem take a look it has some ideas ans some need to know info about autocad lt

Ugh. We purchased LT on the assumption (obviously incorrect) that LT would be sufficient for 2d drafting. I guess I'll just have to use the text commands and a lot of shuffling.

Thanks for your help anyway.
