Jpier Posted October 10, 2010 Posted October 10, 2010 I am working on a drawing where I have a section that is very narrow compared to the rest of the dimensions. In order to make my dimension for this narrow section readable, I need to flip the arrows to the outside. I read where you are supposed to 'right-click' the dimension and then you are offered the option to 'flip' the arrows. When I 'right-click' the dimension, I get a window with multiple options like..repeat Zoom, repeat input, cut, copy, etc... How do I 'flip dimension arrows'? Quote
nestly Posted October 10, 2010 Posted October 10, 2010 (edited) You need to make sure Noun/Verb selection is turned on for right-click context sensitive menus to work. After you turn that on, you should find lots of new options on your right click menus that change according to the type of object you have selected, including "Flip Arrow" for dimensions. Options > Selection > Noun/Verb selection -or- PICKFIRST = 1 from the command line Edited October 10, 2010 by nestly Quote
Patrick Hughes Posted October 10, 2010 Posted October 10, 2010 I've found the easiest way to arrange the arrow position is to simply select the dimension so the grips are displayed, grab the text grip to make it hot, and drag it into the position you desire. The arrows will follow to the outside. Quote
Rob S Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Cant you arrange in the dimension style function what needs to happen when text and arrows don´t fit inside the dimension line? I thought it was possible. Quote
Jpier Posted October 12, 2010 Author Posted October 12, 2010 My Noun/verb selection was on and my PICKFIRST was set at 1. I am confused how those are supposed to help me. However, today when i went into dimstyle and modified my fit options in the dimension style manager to force just arrows to the outside, they did go to the outside. So, thanks for your help. Quote
