nowikovs12 Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Hi gyuys, this propobly is something silly and right in front of me I selected a building and messed around with rotate, now it is in a very random angle like 163, how can I make it so that the building is perfect in line again? so that when I type 180 in command, instead of adding 180 degrees to the angle, it actualy sets the building at 180 degree. I also can't find snaps for rotate, so that you can set it up to snap on every 10 degrees like in 3ds max, is that possible? thank you Quote
alanjt Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Rotate with reference option. eg. Command: R ROTATE Current positive angle in UCS: ANGDIR=counterclockwise ANGBASE=0d0'0" Select objects: Specify opposite corner: 1 found Select objects: Specify base point: ENDP of Specify rotation angle or [Copy/Reference] <38d58'12">: R Specify the reference angle <0d0'0">: ENDP of Specify second point: ENDP of Specify the new angle or [Points] <0d0'0">: 0 Quote
Grant Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Use polar for snapping to every 15 deg but you have to set this: type '_osnap' Goto tab 'Polar Tracking' Change the 'Increment angle' F10 key will turn polar on and off Quote
ReMark Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Kludge it. If you know just one line is supposed to 180 deg and it isn't do a list on it and note the angle (might want to increase the angle precision in Units) and rotate the entire drawing by the same angle only make it a negative number. You can accomplish this with rotate reference and you don't have to list any angles or perform any math. Quote
cduke5 Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 I would draw a vertical line and then do align. Select no when asked if you want to scale. Quote
