dariosantis Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 Hi, I have a problem with the tool catalogs in architectural 2009, I've managed to find just two of the five catalogs that are suposed to be included with this program (Stock tool catalog and sample palette catalog) and I really need the other three (Design tool catalog, visualization catalog and documentation tool catalog) but I can't find them anywhere, I downloaded some tutorials from the official autodesk site but i didn't find anything there either, so if anyone can help me thanks in advance.... Just to clarify, I am lerning about this program by myself and I'm supporting this procedure only on what can be found in tutorials around the web and to make my situation worse, English is not my native language (not to complain, i think I'm doing fine) so I would realy apreciate if you can be as clear as posible. A million thanks. Quote
Bogbadbob658 Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 I assume you have opend the content browser and and can only see the 2 catalogs. Have you checked the filter setting on the left hand side is set to all? Quote
dariosantis Posted September 16, 2008 Author Posted September 16, 2008 Thank you very much for answering my question, yes I have, and as you say, only tow catalogs appear and that is because I manually instaled them using the content of the tutorials I downloaded from autodesk (after a trial and error process until they worked properly) and the filter on the left of the content browser is set to "*All catalogs" (is the only option there) I don't know if I'm right but I think that during the instalation process those catalogs should be installed automatically and when you open the content browser all catalogs must appear by default just waiting to be added to your content... am I wrong? kwortman Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 Have you tried right clicking inside the Content Browser -> selecting Add Catalog and navigating to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Autodesk\ACD-A 2009\enu\Tool Catalogs directory and adding the catalogs from there? If that directory does not exist, then try searching for any .atc files within Windows Explorer. I hope this helps. Quote
dariosantis Posted November 7, 2008 Author Posted November 7, 2008 I am really thankfull for the answers to my problem, I've managed to solve it anyways, the only thing I had to do was to reinstall the program and choose to do a "custom instalation" and choose the components I wanted and voilá now the catalogs do appear where they supose to be so thanks anyway for your help..........both of you...
