Aslas Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 Hi! I work as a sub-contractor, and I receive DWGs from everywhere, some DWGs have Plot Stamps, and everytime I want to open such DWG I receive a messageBox that I this DWG has an educational plot stamp, I click OK, then YES I want to proceed so I can finally open the DWG. I don't mind the plot stamp but the messages are driving me crazy. I know that in the registry there is a setting to eliminate those startup messages, but how to set them so the messages stop. thx Quote
Tiger Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 Educational plot stamps are there for a reason, the educational version of AutoCAD should only be used for education purposes, not retail purposes. Don't accept DWGs with educational plot stamps, return them and ask for a legit drawing. Quote
ReMark Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 Hacking the Registry is not something to be taken lightly. You can cause serious harm to your computer and in rare instances it will refuse to boot. If you are going to attempt it first make a back up of your Registry and know how to boot your computer from a flash drive or a CD in the event you cannot access your hard drive. As for what the particular hack is for eliminating those messages that is not the type of information CADTutor supplies. Sorry, but you'll have to look elsewhere. Good luck. Quote
ReMark Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 I thought of one other possibility and that is to call your authorized AutoDesk reseller. Here are the questions you'll have to answer before they will assist you: 1. What is your company’s name and address? 2. Please tell us all product serial numbers, registered to your company, of Autodesk software products that have come into contact with the drawings that have the educational plot stamp. 3. How did the educational plot stamp get into your drawings? 4. How many drawings do you estimate have the educational plot stamp? Quote
