Wise Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 Hey Ladies and gents, here is my situation, I am looking to save myself some time, I have 2 drawings each with about 40 tabs, each tab with a drawing, all with the same title block, I am looking to change the attributes on all of them (the revisions section) so NO.|Date|Revision|By This will be the same change on each tab, no is there an easy way in doing this? or editing each block one at a time, every tab my only option! Thanks in advance. Quote
cpriedel Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 Just bedit your titleblock (it should open up a drawing with only your TB in it) Now just Add the information you want to show up on every TB in the drawing. Save and close. The change should show up in all the TB in every Layout tab. So technicly you only have to do the changes once in each drawing (2 Total). Quote
Dipali Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 to add to 'cpriedel' s suggestion after doing the changes in one drawing. go to the second drawing & open design centre(ctrl+2) than browse to the first drawing select block>titleblock & right click so you will see 3 options. 'insert', 'insert & redefine', and 'redefine only' so selct redefine only and it will update the title block in all this dawing also. Quote
Wise Posted September 16, 2008 Author Posted September 16, 2008 After some trouble shooting with a co-worker we discovered the command "Gatte" this little puppy is gold! Thanks for all your help! Quote
smorales02 Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 Never heard of that one....try searching the help file and nothing either..anyone know what its exact purpose is Quote
Wise Posted September 16, 2008 Author Posted September 16, 2008 Yea this command is wack, its actually a former/current? express tool, though its left out of the express toolbar, and it does not come up in search, IF you use the express tools > Help and look it up, this is what it tells you GATTE [Express Tools: ACET]@import url(/acet.css);Command: GATTE Select block or attribute [block name]: Use an object selection method, or enter B for the block name Known tag names for block: MDLN. Select attribute or type attribute name: Use an object selection method or enter the attribute tag name Number of inserts in drawing = 2 Process all of them? [Yes/No] : If no, select the block inserts to process Quote
smorales02 Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 Did a quick google search and found out what it does...Its basically a Global Attribute Editor Quote
