I've been having my hatch patterns plot out in blue rather than grey. I printed this same page 2 days ago and the hatchs which are a gradient hatch and solid plotted out grey. Now they are plotting out in blue. This is a CTB file, all the colors are set to black or screened, the 2 printers that this has happened on are both set to greyscale.

Can anyone help?

To determine weather it is the plotter or the ctb. file i would suggest to try to plot it as a black&white pdf. and see if you still have the same problem.

Check out the image. True colors wont print in monochrome (based from my experience)and the default color in the gradient hatch is a true color. replace it with an index color instead.

Sorry I posted it in the wrong section and forgot to delete the old one.

sounds like one of your ink cartridge is out...most colour inkjets use colour to create the greys...

No this happens on 2 different printers being printed from 2 different computers. It printed fine a few days ago. It might have been fine before I added a gradient hatch. Could adding a gradient hatch to a drawing screw up some setting?

So your problem still persists?

Changing from true color to Index color did not work ?

Well I went to the printer properties, selected "Custom Properties" then I changed the Advanced Settings to Easy Settings and then back to Advanced Settings without actually changing the settings them self. Now it gives me 2 Monochrome settings (Monochrome), and (Monochrome BK ink.) I change this setting to (Monochrome BK ink) and the screened colors now print in grey. But now some of the text doesn't print out in the right font. There's always something.
