nataldr Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Hi, I am new to the forum and attempted to search for a solution to my problem wtih no luck. Orginally, the only view affected by this was the top view. I tried to purge, audit, regenall, and then exit. When I reopened the drawing all views had the objects turn into dots. I have attached a picture to show what I am having a problem with. When I hold my cursor over the objects it reappears as normal. Any help would be great! Thanks Quote
BlackBox Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 When I reopened the drawing all views had the objects turn into dots. When I hold my cursor over the objects it reappears as normal. I could be wrong, but this makes me think of either ATTMODE settings, or annotative blocks (i.e., DIMSCALE/CANNOSCALE settings). What values for these three system variables do you have? Quote
nataldr Posted October 19, 2010 Author Posted October 19, 2010 My attmode is 1, the dimscale is 1, and teh cannoscale is 1:1. My computer is running Win7 and has a 4G processor. I was thinking of going to the backup and restarting. I have played with the visual styles and layers as well. Quote
nataldr Posted October 19, 2010 Author Posted October 19, 2010 So I opened the back up and it also has the orginal problem of the ISO and Front view are correct, but the top view has the dots. I am stumped. I dont know if this drawing is corrupt or its my settings. Thanks for the help! Quote
nataldr Posted October 19, 2010 Author Posted October 19, 2010 ok so I dont think this is an issue with the drawing neccessarly. I changed my display to have only 1 view window and then went back to three and everything changed to dots. When I move my cursor over them there is no assocaited data any longer. I am using CADWorx to do the piping. I have started a new drawing and xref'd the piping back into the new drawing and I have the same issue. I am completely stumped. I dont know if reinstalling AutoCAD would fix it. I am open for any suggestions. Thanks Quote
