Rooster Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 I run a long script on my drawings which at several points opens up the command-line window (equivalent of pressing F2) and then also closes it by itself. It doesn't affect the running of the script in any way except that as you watch the script in action you get this window repeatedly flashing open and closed in very quick succession, and I feel that I almost ought to put one of those epilepsy warnings on it! Funny thing is that on my home PC this doesn't happen, so I guess it must be some setting/variable that's different? Can anyone suggest what this might be? Thanks. (AC 2010) Quote
BlackBox Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 I am unaware of what system variable (if any) would change this. However, if you were to scan your script's code, and remove any calls for textpage, or textscr (for opening the F2 window), and graphscrn for closing the F2 window)... this *may* resolve your epileptic response. Quote
Rooster Posted October 20, 2010 Author Posted October 20, 2010 Thanks for the suggestions renderman, but none of those commands are used in my script. It's quite hard to see where exactly this is occurring in the process because it flashes up so quickly, but I think one of the parts it does it is during a section where my script merges a load of layers. I think there are other time it does it too, but by then I'm fitting and not able to tell! Quote
BlackBox Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 Your script may not be the offending function... your script may call another routine (to be run on the drawing), which holds one or more of the above mentioned function calls. Quote
irneb Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 Or it could be a routine running automatically (e.g. a reactor / something in AcadDoc.Lsp / or such). That would explain why it only happens on some PC's and not others. Quote
