points with the same description

Is there any way in LDD 04 to display points with the same description? When I have crowded area with a lot of shots taken (as a surveyor), I need to connect points with the same description, like Top Of Curb.

Just remove all the points from the screen, and then insert only the points with the desired description.

or you could make point groups, or make different layers for each point then layer iso the ones you want

Or go into point group properties and tell it to exclude whichever point numbers that aren't needed.

Thank you very much, I think your solution is the shortest one, since I don't need to create point group. I believe after removing points I choose DIALOG for inserting points where I include points with the desired description.

Something else to consider for the future... If you receive points with standard descriptions, go into your prototype and create point groups (don't worry about not having any points).

 

Then when you start a new project using this prototype, and after you import the points, you only need to go into the point group manager and update -- and your points are automatically put into the right groups...

Sounds very interesting, I use my own point descriptions what I have worked with for years. I assigned numbers to descriptions, like 1 for building corners, 2 for top of curb,...

I was wondering if there is any standard description as you mentioned it and how to get a copy of it. I know that especially in entering trees with their diam enter and drip lines the standard description might be very helpfull.
