Cad64
There are a lot of factors to consider and only you can make the determination on what type of light to use. How bright do you want your light to be? What type of room are illuminating, (living room, office, warehouse, etc.)? What type of light are you simulating? Is the light coming from a light bulb in a lamp, an overhead fluorescent fixture, a candle, a spotlight, etc. You have to assess each render based on the elements of the scene and make the determination of what type of lighting would be suitable. It will be different for each render. In your case, if it's just a lamp, then look at a bulb in one of the lamps in your house. Is it 100w?
