Just updated to 2011 from 2006 version.

Can't seem to find the plan view(world/ucs/???) from a 3D view.

Autocad help says View then select option---but selecting view leaves me confused.

View Tab. Look on the Views or Coordinate Panels.

Clicked on both as suggested---can find no reference to plan view on either---what am I missing??????

OK. Here you go. From your AutoCAD Help file:

 

Procedure:

 

 

To change the current view to the XY plane

  1. Click View menu > 3D Views > Plan View.
  2. Select one of the following options:
    • Current (for the current UCS)
    • World (for the WCS)
    • Named (for a saved UCS)

This assumes you have Show Menu Bar enabled.
