Riley Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 (edited) Autocad 2010 I have noticed that when I am looking at my drawing the angles and circles all look distorted. E.g a circle looks like an oval but when measured it is a circle and same with my angles. The are perpendicular to a base line, but viewing them they look incorrect. I have just done an angle measure in the model space and in the view port on layout 1 and the angles are correct (90') The view from my screen suggests otherwise. In addition to this I have now done and angular measure on top of the view port (layout1) and the angle is 95.5... degrees. This results in the printed version having the incorrect appearance. Can anybody advise if I have inadvertently changed a setting somewhere to do this? Edited November 14, 2010 by Riley Include More Info Quote
ReMark Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Did you install a new monitor or have you been messing around with the onscreen display settings? It almost sounds like an aspect ratio problem. Do you have a CRT or LCD monitor? Quote
nestly Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 If it's not a resolution issue, are you using 2D wireframe, or one of the 3D views? Perhaps you're using a perspective view instead of Parallel (Set PERSPECTIVE to 0 at the command line) Have you rotated your view or your UCS? (Type PLAN and then "World" and/or UCS and world at the command line) Quote
BIGAL Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Try this draw a circle the rotate3d pick circle X centrept 45 you now have a circle at 45degrees to your drawing plane and it looks like an ellipse but it is still a circle. Quote
