Californo Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 I created this object by drawing a PL of the perimeter and then i revolved it. Now when i subtract the bottom part of it i realized that its hallow. I need it to be solid inside, so the to subtract other object from it. is there is any way i can fill in the inside of it to be solid? Thanks, Quote
Cad64 Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 That's because you created a surface, not a solid. I'm guessing that you created the profile with multiple polylines, instead of one continuous polyline? In order to create a solid, you have to draw one continuous polyline profile. Undo until you get back to your line profile and then use PEDIT to Join the polyline segments together. Then Revolve again and you should get a Solid. Quote
dshowalt Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Probably easier to re draw the profile and revolve it again. Just create the profile with the bottom flat and revolve it around the verticall axis and It will be a solid. Quote
Californo Posted November 14, 2010 Author Posted November 14, 2010 it was actually a polyline before the revolve and when i checked after the revolve it wasn't solid so i now converted it to solid and the subtract thanks Quote
