Regenerating model

I have some problems using my 3D Connexion Space navigator with Autocad 2011. I like to use it for paning and zooming my 2D drawings, the problem is that the model is regenerating each time I use the navigator. With big drawing this slows down the work significantly.

 

Is there any way to make it act like the regular mouse scroll? (that doesnt regenerate)

Oh it was not my intention, if sombody would, please remove

having similar issues. All i know is that it's Autodesk's problem since they took over the drivers for 3D mice in 2011, but they're saying to contact 3Dconnexion. (according to Connexion forums)
