Vaker Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 I'm trying to model a Yard shed I plan on erecting next weekend, and I'm trying to subtract one of my Rafters(1) from one of the wall rails(2), and it won't let me. I get a; Select objects: No solids, surfaces, or regions selected. Here's a picture of the model, and I will attach the .DWG file aswell. Notes: All studs, Rafters, Rails etc were created with the 3D>BOX command. Shed.dwg Quote
nestly Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 According to the properties, all the studs and rafters are blocks, and become meshes when exploded. I don't work with meshes, but something seems amis if you created them as 3D solids? Quote
Vaker Posted November 28, 2010 Author Posted November 28, 2010 I've created them all using the 3D>Box commands, and then blocked them. Quote
ReMark Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Well that approach isn't going to work. You need to recreate them as solids and NOT block them. Quote
Cad64 Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 If you created them with the BOX command, why is it that when I run BEDIT and open a block in the block editor, they are polyface meshes? Quote
