My Layout tabs are set up for 11x17 paper with view port set to scale.

I can batch plot (plot Multable tabs) just fine to that paper size and to scale, But I cannot batch plot to any other paper size. I would like to batch plot to 8 1/2 x 11 paper. I realize that ploting to that paper size the scale will be off, that does not matter. As we only print that size to have as a referance in the file on paper.

Any help would be great.

Thanks Matt

P.S.

Is there and easyer way to batch plot mutable layout tabs into one PDF file?

You will need to either change the existing layouts, or create a new set of layouts with the correct printer and paper size selected in the layout manager. Don't forget to click the 'apply to layout' button or the changes will be lost after printing. To quickly resize the output for 8 1/2 x 11 once the paper size is selected, just print 'extents' and check the fit to paper box.

For batch plotting to one pdf file, try the sheet set manager. It works great, but there is too much to it to explain here. You can have many sets of layouts and include only those sized as you want in each sheet set. You can even include layouts from different drawings in one sheet set.

you can create a drawing that contains all your standard plot configurations, using saved page setups. then when you use publish, you can import them from that standard page setup drawing, and as long as all the what you want to plot exists in the same location on each layout and your page setup is defined correctly, you shouldnt have a problem batch plotting to the smaller papersize.

Folllowing on from ccowgill you just need to create a new plot setting the only diiference between 11x17 & 8.5x11 is that instead of the plot scale being 1:1 change it 1: 1.414*2 =2.828 sqroot of 2*2 metric A1 plotted at 1:2 = A3 = 1/4 size A1 to A4 =1:2.828

I Have tried to make a page setup for the 8 1/2 x 11 and when i batch plot I get an error.

PCL XL error

Error: IllegalOperatorSeequence

Operator: 0xc1

Position: 1194

What does that mean????
