stevsmith Posted September 22, 2008 Author Posted September 22, 2008 Hello Lazer, I had seen this one before. I even left comments saying how my employer should move over and get a 3d modeling package like inventor. I had actually forgotten I had seen this stair. Quite impressive i thought. The trouble is that I have previously used inventor in my old place of employment. but i could never quite work out how to configure it correctly for staircases. I found Inventor was more mechanically based for designing smaller components and assembling them into bigger components. In autocad its easier to work out the goings and risers compared to the parametric modeler. What do you think? It is a differant approach to draughting. Quote
Lazer Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 Inventor has the frame generator feature, using this will create large designs quite easy, autocad is great for the design of stairs and with frame generator so is Inventor. Quote
