linetype and the layers

I have a user that when she picks a layer that has a continuous lintype and sets it current, then goes and draws a line it draws it as center. You go back and check the layer and it says continuous. You go to properties and it says center so we change it there to continuous. Then we switch to another layer with continuous linetype and the same thing happens. Is there a setting I am missing?

It is as if the layer doesn't hold the linetype.

look at the layer properties menu at the top of your screen.

you may have 'centre' there instead of 'bylayer'
