Moving objects to 0,0

I have gone from 2005 to 2008, in 2005 you can specify a base point within an object and move it to 0,0. In 2008 I am unable to do this why? Can anyone tell me how to overcome this.

switch off 'dyn' button at the bottom of your screen.

I don't remeber but someone mentioned in earlier thread of doing it by another way without switching it off also.

if you have DYN on you need to use # to define absolute points so to move TO 0,0 you need #0,0, to move by an amount you can use @ sa in @10,5

Thanks Dave,

I knew it was you who told me about it before in another thread but I don't remeber things I don't use.

so glad I read this one! I was just having an issue where my title block wouldn't snap into the correct position. Turns out, I was trying out DYN, which I never use. :)

I like DYN - there aren't many of us on here that do but I am one of them. I only have a couple of toolbars and no command line so a nice uncluttered screen.

I'm pretty sure I'd be completely lost without a command line.

you still have a command line, its just one command long and positioned at the cursor. If you want to see more there is still the F2 button.
