SuperCAD Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Unfortunately, I cannot post this block because of copyright purposes, but I'm hoping I can explain the problem well enough to get some help. I've made a new title block that has visibility options for either a horizontal or vertical sheet layout (i.e. portrait or landscape). I also have attributes for the sheet title and sheet number that are on independent visibility states and all have a unique tag/name. Nothing shows up in red when I'm in the block file and I go to edit the attributes, so I can't see a conflict there. However, when I go to insert this block using the "Insert > Block" drop down, the insertion fails. I can copy the block and paste it in the drawing without any problems and it works perfectly after I do that, but for some reason I cannot insert it the "normal" way. Anyone got any clues? Quote
dbroada Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 A common fault is to create the block in a drawing and then give the file the same name. This will result in a "block references itself" error. Quote
SuperCAD Posted September 22, 2008 Author Posted September 22, 2008 Well now don't I feel like an idiot... I think I'm suffering from cerebral rectitus today. Thanks for getting me back on track. Quote
