Elevations from 3D?

Heyy everyone;

I have a 3D model (I did it from the plan), and i used the SECTIONPLANE command to get the sections from it.

I can't seem to be able to generate the elevations, though. I was told it is possible.

Anyone has any idea?

There is an Orthographic option to the SectionPlane command. Once selected the user can specify top, front, side, etc.

Yes, i have tried it this way, the problem is that my structure is not aligned with the axis and the elevations are taken from an angle i do not care for.

Also, i have tried the flatshot option but i got so lost with the ucs and whatknot.

Wouldn't it make sense to reorient the UCS temporarily to eliminate the angle?

 

With Flatshot you set the view of the object you want then execute the command. If the object looks a bit distorted switch to a top view in the UCS you are using.
