signtime Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Hello I am trying to mirror an arc that is on the top side of 2 circles. The arc stops at the tangent point of the circles, and I am tring to ad the same arc to the bottom of circles but when I try to mirror the arc draws above the first or below the whole drawing. This is my first attempt with autocad in many years and I am not fimilar with much any more. Please help Thank You. Quote
CmdrDuh Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 try making your mirror line the center of the 2 circles Quote
Martini Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 i would agree with CmdrDuh. Just type mirror in the command line and pick the arc then pick the center point of one circle and then the other. And it should work. Quote
signtime Posted September 23, 2008 Author Posted September 23, 2008 I am having the worst luck trying to get the arc to draw in the correct location. I have done the above, but I do not know what I am doing wrong because I am sure this should be a simple task, but it has haunted me for several days now. Quote
skipsophrenic Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 try turning ortho on, selecting the arc you want to mirror, select mirror command, then snap to centre, then dragging the mouse horizontally either diection and then left click an then right click see if that works Quote
GE13579 Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 Can you hit F2 and copy/ paste the command sequence into a post so we have some idea of where you might be going wrong? Quote
