Hello

I am trying to mirror an arc that is on the top side of 2 circles.

The arc stops at the tangent point of the circles,

and I am tring to ad the same arc to the bottom of circles

but when I try to mirror the arc draws above the first or below the

whole drawing.

This is my first attempt with autocad in many years and I am not

fimilar with much any more.

Please help

Thank You.

try making your mirror line the center of the 2 circles

i would agree with CmdrDuh. Just type mirror in the command line and pick the arc then pick the center point of one circle and then the other. And it should work.

I am having the worst luck trying to get the arc to draw in the correct location. I have done the above, but I do not know what I am doing wrong because I am sure this should be a simple task, but it has haunted me for several days now.

try turning ortho on,

selecting the arc you want to mirror,

select mirror command, then snap to centre,

then dragging the mouse horizontally either diection

and then left click an then right click see if that works

Can you hit F2 and copy/ paste the command sequence into a post so we have some idea of where you might be going wrong?

Thanks to all for your help. I was able to get the job done, at least for this task. I am sure that I will come across more issues as I continue to learn AC.

Thank You!
