ReMark Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 What are you trying to move? A block? How do you "say" 3"? What do you actually type? What are your Units set to? "Tracer"? You mean your mouse? Are you clicking on the object then dragging your mouse in the direction you want to move the object and typing the distance in at the command line? Is Ortho mode enabled or disabled? Are you using Snap and Grid? Are you using grips? We need more details. Thanks. Quote
rkent Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 You can only type 3" (the inch symbol) and have it work when the units are set to architectural or engineering. Your units are set to decimal, fractional, or scientific so just type 3 without the inch marks or type UNITS at the command line and change the units to arch or eng. Even when the units are set to Arch or Eng you do not need the inch marks, it is an extra step you can eliminate. Quote
MarcoW Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 DUnno really how to tell but isn't this the "dynamic input" problem? He tries to move "3" to ie. the left where AutoCAD expects a coordinate like 3,6,0. Turn of the dynamic input and try. I think it is a little icon (bottom of the screen...) Quote
