pamadams Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Hello, I am unfortunately downgraded from Architecture to AutoCAD. I am trying to draw and calculate stairs for a residential drawing. Have floor plan. Need cross sections and correct calculations for number of risers required? Thanks Quote
ReMark Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 (edited) Instep.zip at CadMonkey might be worth trying. "Draws stairs to your specific parameters plan view and elevations uses dialog boxes." Written for AutoCAD 2000 and it is Shareware. http://www.cadmonkey.com/lisp.htm You'll probably get suggestions for three more lisp routines in the next 5 minutes so don't disappear. mdbdesign notes that this shareware program is no longer available. Sorry. Edited December 30, 2010 by ReMark Quote
ReMark Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Do your stair calculations with staircal.zip available at CadCorner Canada. It's a freebie. "Stair riser and run calculations." http://www.cadcorner.ca/lisp.php Quote
ReMark Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Draw stair sections program free for the download from the Cadalyst magazine Cad Tips section. http://cadtips.cadalyst.com/misc-user-tools/tip-2302-draw-stair-sections This one got some positive feedback from other users. Quote
bbankston Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 I always draw mine from scratch. 'Course, I have LT. Quote

E-mail to author is not valid, not really way to contact him(her)... Looks like it is lost(program) Quote
ReMark Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 mdbdesign: Thank you for pointing that out. That's why I try to provide more than one source of information. It's always good to have a backup plan. Quote
