kencaz Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 If you have the file saved in another location I would suggest opening that one. It may be only the .dwg is corrupt only on your system. If you don't have a backup in a diff location then this is a good lesson to start... KC Quote
ReMark Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 Did you create this drawing using AutoCAD 2011? Quote
mateen Posted December 31, 2010 Author Posted December 31, 2010 i created this drawing on auto cad 2007 Quote
Cad64 Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 The drawing is probably corrupt. Do you have the .bak file? If so, rename it to .dwg and see if you can open that one. If that doesn't work, try using the RECOVER command to open the drawing. If that doesn't work, try inserting the drawing into another drawing as an Xref. If that doesn't work, then you will probably have to start over and recreate the drawing. Quote
nestly Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 i created this drawing on auto cad 2007 If you worked on the drawing in AutoCAD 2010-11, and forgot to save it as 2007 format, then you'll get a "Drawing is not valid" message if you try to open it in 2007. If that's what happened, just re-open it in 2011 and save it as 2007 format again Quote
