Hit Ok > Set Current > Apply/Ok... P.S. The BACKGROUND command doesn't work on versions prior to 2009. Quote

fahim108 Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 You may be having a different interface in 2011, but here in 2008 it automatically overrides the default background once you assign it via the View Manager. The only thing that "overrides" this background is the Environment Settings option (in the Visual Styles Manager Flag) which toggles the visibility of your custom Backgrounds in the viewports (VSBACKGROUNDS) Correct me if I am wrong...
