tkellyink Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Hi, I am new here, and pretty new to AutoCad. I have about 5 yrs experience in Cad software, so i know most of the basics in order to get by with what i do at my job. I work for a LightWeight Concrete Company, and i design layouts for flat roofs, that will pitch the water to a drain... My question is i have an Architects dwg file, and i want to overlay my plan on his. Is this possible, and if so what is the difficulty level of doing so? Quote
ReMark Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Look into the use of Xrefs. That's probably the best way to handle it. And welcome to the CADTutor forum. Quote

You are one of the few that I would relinquish my position for. Never mind your post being more complete. I'd be much quicker if I didn't keep getting these load errors with the forums. BTW - Happy New Year, Mark! Quote
ReMark Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 And a Happy New Year back at you RenderMan. It was "heads" by the way. I'm sure you would have called it as such. I'll leave the quarter on my desk. Stop by when you're in town and collect your reward. Cheers mate! Quote
