Lt Dan's legs Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Is it possible to put text in a polyline? I thought I've come across this before but I cannot seem to find it. Quote
ccowgill Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 are you referring to a complex linetype? Quote
Lt Dan's legs Posted January 10, 2011 Author Posted January 10, 2011 Yes. Does anyone have an example of one? Quote
ccowgill Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 *W-OVERHEAD TELE,OVERHEAD Tele ----OHT----OHT----OHT----OHT---- A,1.25,-.05,["OHT",STANDARD,S=.06,U=0.0,X=-0.0,Y=-.025],-.23 you can try this, but I think that the U=0.0 is only for AutoCAD 2011 Quote
Lt Dan's legs Posted January 10, 2011 Author Posted January 10, 2011 How do I use this? You have a dwg of one? I can probably figure it out Quote
ReMark Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 If that doesn't work I know of another. Tankman posted this earlier last year. The user is cautioned to read the ltfly_lisp.txt file before trying to use the routine. http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?47604-Line-w-Description Quote

The Buzzard Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 You must load the linetype like you do in your layers. So you may need to browse for it or place it in your acad.lin file which is in your Acad Support folder. If you are making a metric linetype, Then use your acadiso.lin file in the same support folder. Quote
The Buzzard Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 The attached lisp will loaded some of the Complex linetypes already in ACAD and correct its reading direction. Give this a try. Since you know lisp, I thought this would help you to understand a little. COMPLEX.lsp Quote
