profcad Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Our server has two NIC Cards. Does the server have to be connected to the network using the NIC card that I used to obtain the mac address for FlexLM. In other words, NIC 1 was used to license FlexLM, but our IT people want to connect it to the network with NIC 2. IT came in over the break and replaced switches, cabling, now AutoCAD can't find the Flexlm License on the server. Thanks John Quote
Blam Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Does the new card give the license server a new MAC address? Then you will need to get a new .LIC file from Autodesk with the new MAC address. Quote
profcad Posted January 18, 2011 Author Posted January 18, 2011 We found the problem. The server had two nic cards, 1 cable and one fiber. IT disconnected the fiber because the new switches didn't have a module to connect the fiber to the switch. The Server name was tied to the ip address of the fiber card. We just changed the ip address of the 2nd card. It had to do something with the dnslookup and the server name. John Quote
