I'm just an artistic sculptor wanting to try tube and pipe. what do I need to click to get there? o:)

Ahh I see it's because you have inventor publisher not the inventor suite. It's not possible to do things like that in publisher as it is just an platform to produce presentations and instructions etc.

thanks so much for figuring that out for me!

No problem, What are you trying to achieve? i'm just wondering if inventor is thr right software for you to be using.

I want to experiment with bending and welding pipe and tube as sculpture. inventor is a way to sketch ideas

my environments tab isn't populating a tube and pipe option. what type of new file do I use?

Do you have Inventor Professional or Inventor Routed Systems? You must be in an assembly file (*.iam).

Questions might be easier to answer if you post screen shots of what you do see.

Jan 18 2011 06-26-25PM.jpgI have inventor professional. I'm using an assembly file and I've selected tubing with bends. Where is the Create Tube & Pipe Run dialog box?

Where is your history browser?

I don't see a route?

Have you gone through tutorials and skill builders?

... Have you gone through tutorials and skill builders?

I am looking for "Pipe Run" tutorials right now.

That's how I came across this thread.

Any help in pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

I have searched the archives, but either I didn't look close enough, or there aren't any "Pipe Run" tutorials.

(BTW, we upgraded last week to Inventor 2013.)

F1 (be sure to download the Tutorial files and set your active Project to the Tutorial.ipj)

There might be something here as well, but not sure anyone has presented on Routed Systems recently http://au.autodesk.com
