pippobaudo Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Hello, I am a beginner and I am reading the book by Yarwood "introducing autocad 2010", at page 260 there is a 2D drawing (see attachment). I have some difficulty on how to position some curves on the drawing, for example how to determine the center of the curves with radius 5. How to determine points which are perpendicular or parallel to a curve and at a determinate distance? Do you have any suggestions about books or tutorials on how to do this properly? Also I think that some dimensions are missing on this book, I need also information on how to properly dimension a 2D drawing. Thanks guys. Quote
ReMark Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 I would offset adjacent lines and the circle then use the FILLET command (R=5) to clean up and radius the corners. Nice and simple. Quote
ReMark Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 One possible solution. Any good technical drafting book will have a chapter devoted entirely to the proper dimensioning of a drawing. Stop by your local library or bookstore. You might also check online for "AutoCAD tutorial"+"dimensioning". Type the search terms just as I have shown them here. Exactly as you see them. Quote
