Imported Drawing - Dimension Snaps are not snapped properly

Hi Guys,

I am having a problem importing drawings into a company template. The drawings themselves are dimensioned properly and measure fine.

When I import them into the new drawing template, the snaps do not appear to connect properly to the snap points. When I zoom into where the snap point should be, there is a small gap between the dimension line and the point to which I am dimensioning to.

Can anyone tell me what setting I can change to prevent this happening and what I can do to correct the other drawings I have imported where the dimension lines are not connected to the snap points properly?

AUTOSNAP?

I am relatively new to Autocad.

Thanks a million Guys.

When you are zoomed in all the way, try a quick regenall. Sometimes the program, when it hasn't been regenerated, loses some spacial integrity when you are zooming in and out alot. Two points that should coincide appear not to and RE should fix that.

If you mean the gap between the object and the extension line, that's pretty standard, but I guess you could eliminate it if you wanted by changing the "Offset from Origin" to zero in the Dimstyle

Thanks for the responses, I figured out what seemed to be wrong after all. Apparently the drawings that we have been supplied with were generated in Solidworks from a prt file. I have come to understand that when solidworks exports a dxf file, the dimension lines are not actually associated with the snap points and they are just lines that the program exports. There may be an option to do it so that this does not happen but this seems to be the case with the drawings that I am working on.
